Human stories in the world of sport and movement.

I'm Matthew Joseph — an award-winning photographer & director on a mission to keep HUMANITY in the world of commercial advertising.

I create films that engage, shoot stills that win awards and bring a human POV to the world of sport, movement and fitness. I'm drawn to sub-cultures, passionate about meeting people where they're at and telling their story... in my way, through my lens and lived experience as someone who loves to push the limits in life.

We live in a world
drowning in
content.
Starving for
truth.

Trust is the scarcest resource in the room. Audiences are more sceptical, more fatigued, and more switched-off than at any point in history. AI can generate a thousand images a second. None of them feel like anything.

That's the gap. The brands that win right now are the ones brave enough to look human — to make people feel something real. Anyone who's run knows the difference between a stock image of someone jogging and a real moment of a person finding their edge.

That's not a trend. That's always been the work. It just matters more now than it ever has.

About Matthew

Matthew Joseph is an advertising photographer & director based in London — having spent years shooting at the intersection of performance and culture, helping create campaigns for brands and agencies worldwide.

Known for his ability to inject life and humanity into commercial photography, his work takes him across the world. Story-telling with a cinematic influence is central to his approach. Whilst London is home, it's travelling which largely inspires his work — chasing an obsession with light, people, culture and stories.
